UNISON members face a spiralling cost-of-living crisis and now further austerity from a Tory Government determined to make us pay for the economic crisis. UNISON’s NEC elections in April 2023 will be hugely important in determining the way our union tackles these issues.
Since June 2021, the Time For Real Change NEC majority has started the work of democratising the union and making the union’s strategy and organisation fit for purpose. Lots has been done – but there is more to do!
In January 2023, the process for electing UNISON’s National Executive Council (NEC) began again. Branches have now completed their nominations and the members’ vote will open on April 17th and last until May 19th. Scores of Time For Real Change candidates are on the ballot, up and down the country from Lands End (South West Region) to John O’Groats (Scotland Region).
Want to find out more about where Time For Real Change stands on changing our union? Come along to our fantastic public event which will kick off the Time For Real Change NEC election campaign in style during the members’ voting period.
UNISON members Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell back Time For Real Change and are co-chairing this public meeting which will showcase a range of fantastic UNISON NEC candidates.
