UNISON’s National Executive Council (NEC) is the executive body of the union which is elected by its members to be its ruling council. All NEC seats are up for election in 2025.

The members’ ballot will be open in April. But before then there is a branch nomination phase which takes place from Monday 13 January to Friday 14 February.

55 candidates are standing in solidarity with the Time for Real Change majority on the current NEC. Final, additional candidates are being confirmed in the next few days.
